ABC’s The Bachelor is ready to cater to an older audience. On Monday’s episode of the show, The Bachelor’s producers announced their usual casting call, with a twist.

Specifically, they asked for “seniors looking for love,” meaning a cast of adults over the age of 65.

Are you ready to nominate yourself? Someone else? Do you even care? Do you care a lot???

The Bachelor 2.0

Though there’s no title yet for The Bachelor’s new version, here’s what the ABC casting page had to say about the open call:

“Are you entering your golden years and looking for romance? The Producers of The Bachelor are looking for active and outgoing single men and women in their golden years for a new exciting dating show.”

Honestly, it’s about time. “It’s the number one thing I get asked about doing the show, ‘When are you going to do an older version of The Bachelor?’” Chris Harrison said when asked by TMZ about the casting call.

This only downside is that there’s a bunch of ageist language being used here, which was called out in a few Instagram comments. One commenter wrote: “I would send this to my mom, but she will NOT sign up for something with SENIORS in the email.”

Minor drawbacks aside, this is exciting news. So how do you apply?

Applications are open

Well, the application includes about 60 questions and hopeful nominees should include recent photos and a video for a better chance of being picked. Applicants must be legal residents of the U.S. Let us know if you apply!
